Terms of use
Rules for using PetPark and providing pet services.
Updated: 30 September 2026.
1. Platform and operator
PetPark connects pet owners with sitting, walking, grooming and training providers. The operator is LJEMICUS DIGITAL jednostavno društvo s ograničenom odgovornošću za usluge i trgovinu, Mate Balote 20D, 51000 Rijeka, Croatia. OIB: 67287589092; MBS: 040499074; Commercial Court in Rijeka; share capital: EUR 10.00. Contact: info@petpark.hr. By using PetPark you accept these terms. If you disagree, do not use the platform.
2. Your account
Most functions require an account. Give accurate, complete information, keep it up to date, protect your login details and maintain only one account. The platform is intended for people over 16. The registration age requirement does not establish legal capacity or authorise every contract or payment. You must have the capacity required for the particular service and, where applicable law requires it, a parent’s or guardian’s consent or representation. Anyone registering a business must be authorised to represent it.
3. Pet owners’ responsibilities
Give accurate information about your pet’s health, behaviour and special needs. Ensure your pet is appropriately vaccinated and fit for the agreed care. Communicate promptly with the provider, follow the agreed arrangements and deadlines, and pay the agreed price.
4. Providers’ responsibilities
Publicly offering paid services requires registered business activity or another verified lawful basis for the particular service. The applicant must be authorised to represent the business. Business details are reviewed before publication. The Slovenian application is for registered businesses and sole traders; a tax number alone does not establish eligibility. Obtain any required permits and comply with requirements for premises and the activity, including pet boarding where applicable. Registry review is not a guarantee of service quality or verification of personal identity.
5. Delivering services
Provide the agreed care, follow the owner’s instructions on food, medication and routine, maintain safe and clean premises, and promptly notify the owner about problems or emergencies. Keep your profile, experience, availability and prices accurate and honour agreed bookings.
6. Inquiries and bookings
Choose a service, city, provider and dates, then send an enquiry. An enquiry is not a confirmed booking. Agree on the service in Messages. The provider can send a signed-in owner an offer with the time and total price; the owner creates a booking by accepting it. For a direct request for an available time, the provider confirms the booking. Once their Stripe account is ready to receive payments, check the amount and cancellation terms in the booking and pay by card through Stripe before the service starts. Track payment status in your booking. You can leave a review after the service takes place and completion is recorded. Prices are set by the provider; agree the final price and terms before confirming the booking and paying. Cancel as early as possible and notify the other party. Repeated late cancellations may lead to restrictions on platform access. A provider application does not guarantee publication, inquiries or earnings.
6a. Reviews of completed services
Only the owner of a PetPark booking can submit a review, after the service has taken place and the booking is marked completed. The deadline is 90 days from the recorded completion. Each booking allows one review: a rating from 1 to 5 stars and a comment. Reviews become public after checking compliance with community rules; both positive and negative experiences are published. Payment or an enquiry alone does not make a booking eligible for review. A provider can respond to a published review; responses are reviewed before publication. Providers cannot remove a rating simply because it is negative. You can report content that breaks the rules; a report does not automatically remove it.
7. Content and prohibited behaviour
You are responsible for the photos, reviews, messages and forum posts you submit. Offensive, discriminatory or threatening content, misleading information, impersonation, false references, copyright infringement, spam, unsolicited advertising, phishing, malicious code and disclosure of another person’s personal information without an appropriate basis are prohibited. Animal abuse, neglect, inadequate care and unlawful activity are prohibited, as is misleading another party about agreed terms. We may remove content that breaches these rules. For an explanation of a moderation decision or to challenge it, contact info@petpark.hr.
8. Platform responsibility
PetPark does not directly provide sitting, grooming or training. The provider is responsible for the agreed service. This does not exclude PetPark’s responsibility for its own obligations or restrict consumer rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. Before arranging a service, check the profile and references, agree the terms and take reasonable precautions. Using PetPark does not itself mean a booking is insured.
9. Payments, commission and refunds
Registration and searching are free. Card payments use Stripe directly on the provider’s connected account. Card payment through Stripe is active. Pay in an accepted booking after the total price is confirmed, once the provider has a connected Stripe account ready to receive payments. Start a new payment at least 35 minutes before the booking begins. The Stripe link lasts up to 45 minutes; payment must finish before the link expires and the service begins. PetPark’s commission is 10% of the confirmed service price and is deducted from the provider. No additional commission is charged to the owner. Example: the owner pays €30, PetPark’s commission is €3, and the provider retains €27 before any Stripe fees. Registration and browsing are free. The provider charges for the service on their connected Stripe account and invoices the owner for the full service price. LJEMICUS DIGITAL j.d.o.o. invoices the provider for its commission. Commission is collected automatically at payment and is not charged again when invoiced. A Stripe payment confirmation or commission statement does not replace the required invoice. Standard cancellation: full refund at least 48 hours before the start, 50% from 24 to less than 48 hours, no standard refund less than 24 hours before the start. Provider cancellation: full refund. An unstarted service is fully refundable within 14 days of payment. Statutory rights take precedence; requests after the service starts are reviewed individually. Commission is refunded proportionally. Stripe does not return its original processing fees. Stripe returns refunds to the original payment method. A refund request does not mean the money has reached your account: track the status in your booking. Timing depends on Stripe processing and your bank. If a refund remains pending or fails, contact info@petpark.hr with your booking reference. The total and cancellation terms are shown before payment. For a dispute about the agreed price, payment or cancellation, contact info@petpark.hr.
10. Animal welfare organisations and donations
Where an organisation publishes an appeal, PetPark acts as a link to potential donors. PetPark does not process donations: the donor pays using the organisation’s external payment link. PetPark is not a party to that payment and does not see the exact amount raised. Reviewing an organisation’s registration does not guarantee its work, use of funds or fulfilment of an appeal. Check its work, reputation and transparency before donating. PetPark’s own obligations and rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.
11. Closing or restricting an account
You can request account closure in the available settings or by emailing info@petpark.hr. Breaches of these terms or the law, animal abuse or neglect, fraud, malicious conduct and repeated complaints may lead to suspension or closure. Contact support for an explanation or to challenge a decision. An account request does not itself erase all records; the privacy notice explains handling and retention.
12. Intellectual property
LJEMICUS DIGITAL j.d.o.o. holds the intellectual property rights to the PetPark platform, its name, logo, visual identity, design, software code and original content created by the company or for which it has acquired the relevant rights. Rights to user content and third-party materials, including photographs, fonts and software components, belong to their respective rights holders and are used under the applicable permissions and licences. Copying, distribution, adaptation or commercial use of content whose rights are held by LJEMICUS DIGITAL j.d.o.o. requires the company’s prior written permission, except as permitted by law or an applicable licence. For enquiries, contact info@petpark.hr.
13. Changes to terms
We will notify business users of proposed changes on a durable medium, such as email, at least 15 days before they take effect. Where technical or business adjustments are needed, we will allow a reasonably longer period. A business user can terminate cooperation before the changes take effect. Exceptions or waivers of the notice period apply only where permitted by applicable rules. Publishing a change on this page does not replace required notice.
14. Applicable law and courts
Croatian law applies. This choice does not deprive consumers of mandatory protection in their country of habitual residence or restrict mandatory jurisdiction rules. Court jurisdiction is determined under applicable law. We will seek an amicable resolution before court proceedings. Providers carrying out services in Slovenia must also comply with the rules applicable there.
Written complaints and alternative dispute resolution
Send a written complaint about the platform to info@petpark.hr or LJEMICUS DIGITAL j.d.o.o., Mate Balote 20D, 51000 Rijeka, Croatia. We will acknowledge receipt without delay and respond in writing to a consumer complaint within 15 days of receipt, clearly stating whether we accept its merits. This response deadline is not a guarantee the dispute has been resolved. For complaints about a service, also contact the provider; PetPark can assist with the platform and payment. The current government list of alternative dispute resolution bodies, including the Mediation Centre at the Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK), is linked below. Jurisdiction and availability of a procedure depend on the dispute and the chosen body’s rules.
